Turn your vegetables into tasty, healthy meals with a technique called spiralizing. Spiralizing transforms vegetables and fruit into noodles creating beautiful cuisines and yummy “works of art”. I’m a HUGE carbaholic and whole wheat in particular is my weakness. Spiralized vegetables are a clean, vegan, gluten-free, low carb way to eat your favorite noodle dish! Creating nourishing veggie noodles has become a fun way for the kids and I to make delicious, healthy meals for lunch and dinner. Zucchini noodles are my personal favorite because the yummy green vegetable has less than 1/8 the amount of carbs and 1/10 the amount of calories as regular noodles, spaghetti or pasta. And what’s more, you can eat them hot or cold and indulge in their crunchy goodness.
Some favorite vegetables and fruit that can be spiralized include:
- Apples
- Beets
- Bell Peppers
- Butternut Squash
- Cantalope
- Carrots
- Cucumbers
- Daikon
- Jicama
- Melons
- Parsnips
- Pear
- Radish
- Rutabaga
- Sweet Potatoes
- Turnips
- Zucchini
I recommend: Nourishing Noodles and Inspiralize Everything. These are two of my “go to” cookbooks right now.
