Last month I experienced one of the best weeks I’ve had at my laptop. It was spent writing posts and creating an editorial calendar for Angelica In The City (AITC). I spent a glorious, productive week at the new-ish WeWork in Crystal City.
WeWork opened just four years ago in New York City and has already expanded into 15 US cities and in 13 international cities.
WeWork Crystal City is beautiful and functional. The interior decor is very happy and chic. I enjoyed the quiet, serene environment—a perfect setting for someone who often deals with writers block. It was much easier for me to focus than it is working from a local coffee shop. And it didn’t have the distractions like I get when I work from home. It was tso wonderful having a real office and conference space where I could host new clients and interviews for upcoming features. WeWork’s ambience is very inspiring. It has such vibrant furnishings and all the amenities one could ever desire in an office space. The “co-workers” that I met there made me feel like I was truly part of a creative community. I even bumped Vanessa French, founder and president of Pivot Point Communications, a local creative communications agency that I had collaborated with before on several projects. She and I are reconnected and keep in touch via Snapchat almost daily.
The sheer electrifying energy of the co-working space at WeWork is enough to entice me to become a permanent office resident. WeWork offers access to exciting and informative events, employee like benefits, and a digital app that connects you with over 50,000 members across the globe. The membership to the digital app alone is worth the monthly fee.
WeWork is an amazing place to work and I’m so happy there’s several locations available in Washington DC. It is the perfect office rental for bloggers, entrepreneurs and start-ups!
{Thank-you to WeWork Crystal City for partnering on this post!}
