Honeygrow is a fast casual concept, specializing in salads, stir-fries and fruit bowls made with fresh, local ingredients. The Philadelphia-based company recently opened a new location in Vienna, Virginia. My family and I had already visited the Honeygrow in Arlington’s Pentagon City for their famous honeybar, but this would be our first time having a full meal at one of their DC area locations. Although “fast casual” may sound like a buzz term, I promise those type of restaurants are here to stay.
Ella and Logan were really impressed with the do-it-yourself touchscreen ordering process. Being kids aged 10 and 8, this was like playing with a really gigantic iPad for them. They insisted on placing orders for us too. It took less than 10 minutes for us to get our meal and the staff delivered our food hot, fresh and right to our table. The fast-casual concept is awesome. You get great customer service and there’s no tipping involved.
I personally love the decor of Honeygrow. It’s very minimalistic and functional with very clean and sleek lines. I also really loved the colorful mural that spans across two walls.
For those looking for a delicious mostly plant-based meal, Honeygrow is the way to go! You can customize stir-fries and salads or you can pick from a menu of signature dishes.
