What to Pack For A Weekend At Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf LodgeGreat Wolf Lodge Howl-o-ween

I love taking my family to Great Wolf Lodge. We try to visit at least twice a year, one time in the spring and another in the fall. I was invited to attend a press weekend for the annual Howl-o-ween last month at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg and I was beyond excited to go with my family.

I had such a great time with my family and was so happy to reconnect with some of my friends that were also on the trip and excited to meet everyone else. It was a positively inspiring group of people.

Great Wolf Lodge is an all inclusive resort. It is a place to enjoy time with your family, recharge, reconnect and rediscover the type of fun you had as a kid. You really don’t have to leave for anything once you arrive. Just hunker down and be prepared to have a great time. If you’re planning to visit Great Wolf Lodge, I’ve prepared a Packing Guide on what to take. It is a very casual place, so feel free to wear your most comfortable and cozy clothes. It’s the perfect place to relax and not worry about wearing make-up or what anyone is going to think about your outfit.

Here’s What to Pack For Your Great Wolf Lodge Visit:

  • Bathing Suits (I recommend 2 per family member)
  • Cover Up/Tunic
  • GogglesWater Shoes
  • Pajamas
  • Sneakers or Closed Toe Shoes for the Rope Climbing Structure
  • Gym Clothes
  • Waterproof Bag for wet clothes to go home
  • Toiletries
  • First aid kit
  • Comfortable casual clothes
  • Snacks, drinks and a refillable water bottle

There’s so much to do!
The Indoor Waterpark
The waterpark is over 67,000 square feet and has a big wave pool, with more than 112,000 gallons of water, the Wolf Rider Wipeout™ (an exciting surf simulator), and a relaxing lazy river. For slide lovers, there are four thrill-seeking options, including a family raft ride (my personal favorite) and a new interactive slide that lets you choose the music you want to hear as you rush down.

MagiQuest Game
This is a role-playing fantasy game that is hugely popular with guests of all ages.  Magic wands are available for purchase, pay per game and play as long as you want all day (and on future visits) , seek out special icons, protect your world and battle and slay dragons. Stations for this interactive game are on all levels of the resort and are open way past the time the waterpark closes, making this activity a great way to end the day.

Arcade
The arcade is open 24 hours a day. It is the perfect place for the gamers in your family. There are retro and classic games, car racing games and sporty games for everyone in the family.

Great Wolf Ten Paws Bowling Alley
Ten Paw Bowling Alley
This is such a cute and quaint bowling alley with small, lightweight bowling balls, fun lights and six bowling lanes.

The Creation Station
You can build your own stuffed Great Wolf Kids character and take the character on a scavenger hunt. My kids were so happy to meet Wiley, Violet, Oliver and Sammie and even happier to bring then all home with us.

There’s a small (four-seat) motion thrill-ride theatre, interactive game room, a spa for kids and adults, a new candy shop, restaurants, and even an outdoor pool.

With 15 locations across the United States and Canada, Great Wolf Lodge is North America’s largest collection of indoor waterparks.
